Welcome to Queen's Model United Nations
Queen's Model United Nations (QuMUN) is a dynamic, beginner-friendly conference hosted at the prestigious Queen's College Taunton. Every November, we bring together passionate students from across the region for an immersive day of diplomacy, debate, and global problem-solving.
What Makes QuMUN Special?
Unlike traditional MUN conferences, QuMUN operates on a clause-based system. Instead of submitting full resolutions, delegates collaborate to propose individual clauses that address specific aspects of global issues. This approach makes the conference more accessible to newcomers while maintaining the intellectual rigor expected at Model UN events.
Our one-day format is designed to maximize engagement without overwhelming participants. From opening ceremonies to closing remarks, every moment is carefully structured to ensure delegates experience the full spectrum of diplomatic discourse while keeping the pace exciting and manageable.
Who Can Participate?
QuMUN welcomes all pre-registered schools and delegates, with a special focus on creating an inclusive environment for first-time participants. Whether you're a seasoned MUN veteran or attending your first conference, you'll find a supportive community ready to help you develop your public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.
Our diverse committee structure ensures there's a topic for every interest. From international security to environmental policy, human rights to economic development, delegates can engage with real-world issues that matter to them while learning about parliamentary procedure and diplomacy.
